SMS Terms & Consent
Last updated: July 6, 2026
What this page covers
AskWoody Pro is a workflow tool used by independent HVAC contractors to send bids, service orders, and invoices to their own customers. Contractors also use AskWoody Pro to send short SMS notifications to their customers about scheduled service — typically an "on my way" message with an estimated time of arrival.
This page describes how those SMS notifications work, what messages you can expect to receive, and how to stop receiving them. AskWoody Pro is a product of AI Innovation Solutions LLC.
How you opt in
Giving your contractor your phone number is not the same as consenting to SMS. Your contractor needs your number to reach you by phone about the job. To receive text messages from that contractor via AskWoody Pro, you must separately opt in.
How the opt-in works. When your contractor is scheduling the job, they will ask for your verbal consent using this script (or equivalent language):
“Would you like a text message when I’m on my way to your appointment? It’ll come from [Contractor Name] via AskWoody Pro — just service updates like ETAs, no marketing. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out. Is that okay?”
Only after you verbally agree does the contractor mark the SMS opt-in flag on your customer record inside AskWoody Pro. The record of that consent (the contractor’s account, the opt-in date, and your phone number) is stored alongside your customer file. Until that flag is set, AskWoody Pro will not send any SMS to your number, even if the contractor has your number on file.
You will not receive marketing or promotional SMS through AskWoody Pro. Messages are strictly related to the service work you have engaged your contractor to perform.
What messages you'll receive
AskWoody Pro currently sends one type of SMS: job-arrival notifications ("Your technician is on the way — ETA about 20 min"). Every message identifies the contractor sending it and ends with instructions to opt out.
Message frequency depends on the work you have scheduled — typically one to three messages per service call. You will not receive marketing, promotional, or unrelated SMS through AskWoody Pro.
Message and data rates
Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply. AskWoody Pro and your contractor do not charge you for receiving these messages.
How to stop receiving messages
Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe from further SMS from that contractor's AskWoody Pro sender. You will receive a single confirmation message and then no further texts. You can reply START at any time to opt back in.
You can also contact your contractor directly, or email woody@askwoodyhvac.ai and we will disable SMS to your number across all AskWoody Pro contractors.
Getting help
Reply HELP to any message for support information. For questions about a specific job or invoice, contact your contractor directly — they are the party performing the work. For questions about the AskWoody Pro platform itself, contact woody@askwoodyhvac.ai.
